Sweet Liam has been very busy in the past 2 weeks. Physically, he has sprouted a total of 4 teeth: June 4th we saw the lower front right tooth, just 6 days later on the 10th it's buddy on the left arrived. Then, on July 25th, the upper left tooth emerged, followed shortly on the 31st with the upper right. He has handled it so well; there are only subtle signs like increased drooling and biting, and slight, short-lived fussiness to clue us in.
His is SO active and mobile now- he "creeps" backwards on his belly, and is just starting to rise onto his hands and knees. He also uses his belly as a pivot point and circles around and around on the floor, trying to get to his toys or Nealey! (Who's being so so good, by the way :) He has also developed the rather hilarious habits of smacking the side of his head with his open palm (why??), using his forefinger (or anyone else's) to "play" his lips while making sounds, and clenching his front teeth and employing heavy breathing through his open lips.
And finally, we have discovered that he LOVES to swim! During his very first time in the pool he splashed, kicked like a frog, laughed and even ducked his face under intentionally- twice! Daddy is quite pleased with this.
This little boy of ours is nearly perfect, I must say. He's such a good sleeper, good eater, loves people and new experiences, is patient and so happy. Love, love, love!
